David is an experienced commercial property lawyer, having acted on a range of matters for both local and international clients.
David joined Thompson Blackie Biddles in 2015, having previously spent three years in the commercial property team at a national firm.
David acts for a number of listed and institutional-grade organisations, as well as high net worth private owners and developers. He has a broad experience in relation to acquisitions and disposals, development agreements, all aspects of commercial leasing (including office, retail and industrial) for both landlords and tenants and overseas investment matters.
David has a particular focus on complex transactions involving technical drafting and analysis. An example of this is David’s evolving practice which focuses on some of Auckland’s largest and most intricate development agreements, including premium office tower developments and large precinct redevelopment projects involving multiple stakeholders and industry participants.
